I’m sure that like me, most of you receive an IM or email at least once a week containing a ridiculous joke, picture, or YouTube video. Today I am paying homage to those quirky virals with my own twist. Keeping with the catergory themes of the blog, I bring you my picks for the funniest, quirkiest, and downright weirdest creations I have come across this week.
I found this outrageous “Shark Attack Hat” in a knitting forum at Craftster, where one of their mottos is “Cute Doesn’t Need a Reason”. Even more outrageous than the hat itself [which is actually kind of cute] is the poster’s comment, “I saw the dead fish hat pattern and loved the idea”. Seriously?

I was first introduced to Margaux Lange’s creations when a friend of mine purchased one of her rings for his girlfriend. They are strange, but in a good way. Necklaces, rings, brooches, bracelets, earrings, and custom works.

If you are here in NYC, she’s going to be at the BUST Spring Fling Craftacular this Sunday in Brooklyn.

When I first came across these baby head pottery creations by Sue Kniffin Davidson of Kniffin Pottery, I was a little creeped out, but I must admit they have really grown on me and I think I totally want an upsidedown baby head bowl or mug. I’m not sure I would eat my cereal or drink my coffee out of one, but it would definitely make for a conversation piece on the mantle or bookshelf.

And that’s it for today, folks. Enjoy the weekend!!!
